The Great Raleigh Cleanup
We are partnering with The Great Raleigh Cleanup on concert days to collect cans, while educating guests about recycling. Cans will be collected and taken offsite to an aluminum recycling location.
Over 900 pounds of trash from neighboring parking lots and areas around the amphitheater were also picked up during our Pre-Season Community Cleanup with The Great Raleigh Cleanup in April.
GRC is a nonprofit based out of Raleigh. Over the past two and a half years, The Great Raleigh Cleanup has been working to remove litter around Raleigh one piece at a time. We’re talking more than 130,000 pounds of trash picked & 25,000 pounds of aluminum by 1,500+ volunteers.

Green Initiatives
Discover our commitment to sustainability with our green initiative! Sodexo Live!, our in-house concessions team, is leading the way by embracing eco-friendly practices. We've made the switch to compostable utensils, plates, and napkins, reducing our environmental footprint. Plastic cups in our amphitheater are now eco-friendly and decomposable, and this year, we're transitioning to durable aluminum cups, which are easier to recycle than plastic. As part of our sustainability efforts, we've also replaced individual condiment packets with bulk, pumped condiment stations, minimizing waste and promoting a greener future for all. Join us in our journey towards a more sustainable and eco-conscious venue experience!
Join us in embracing sustainability! At Red Hat Amphitheater, we're proud to announce one of our green initiatives: composting! From breakfast to dinner, we serve bands and crews with eco-conscious meals. Teaming up with Compost Now, Sodexo Live!, our in house catering team behind the scenes is leading the charge for a greener future. We've transitioned to compostable materials for everything, except aluminum and glassware. Whether it's food scraps, plates, utensils, or paper cups and napkins, it all goes back to nature. Even if groups opt for glassware, we ensure they're cleaned and reused for the next event. Together, we're significantly reducing our landfill waste and making a positive impact on the environment. Join us in the journey towards a more sustainable world!
